Mambally's Royal Biscuit Factory -
A legend was born in 1880. Founded by Mambally
Bappu, the Royal Biscuit Factory at Tellicherry
catered to the high and mighty.
The
legend spread its wings to Cochin and opened the
famous Cochin Bakery in 1939 and grew in the
Independent India. The Royal patrons included
the Viceroys, Lord Wavell
(1944) and Lord Mountbatten
(1948).
In 1986, Cochin Bakery arrived at
Calicut, the 'Sweetmeat city' of Kerala.
Established by Sri. M.P. Ramesh the legend
finally became a folklore in the tradition of
sweets and
confectioneries.
